Expert-led GCSE English tuition across Cornwall

🔹 Developing Pathway – Target Grades 4–6

Weekly 1-hour sessions (online or in-person in Cornwall)
Small groups (10–15 students)
Expert teaching, exam tasks, homework & progress tracking

£23 + VAT per session (booked in 6-week blocks)

Home Education KS3 and GCSE

For families who home educate, we offer:

  • KS3 Literacy Foundations
    A creative, high-energy programme focused on vocabulary, stamina, comprehension and writing. Ideal for learners needing a boost before KS4.

  • GCSE Preparation
    Structured support for English Language - with English Literature for Advanced learners. Fully AQA-aligned (or tailored to group needs).

Delivery:

  • Online small groups

  • Flexible weekday sessions

  • 2-4 sessions per week recommended for GCSE students

  • Option to arrange in-person group if 10+ local learners

Can my child join mid-term?
Yes – we’ll match them to the right group based on ability and availability.

How are groups decided?
We use predicted or working grades:
🔹 Developing = Grade 4–6
🔹 Advanced = Grade 6+ and aiming higher

Not sure which pathway?
Trial 2 sessions — we’ll guide you from there.

What if my child prefers 1:1?
Our small, ability-matched groups (10–15) are engaging and motivating. Many students prefer this to one to one tutoring.

Online or in-person?
Yes — you can choose. We’ll confirm availability when you submit your Expression of Interest.

Do you follow AQA?
Yes — but we can adapt for other boards, especially for EHE learners.

Are tutors DBS checked?
Yes — and we follow a full safeguarding policy (see contact page).

Cost?
£23 + VAT per one-hour session, booked in 6-week blocks. First 2 sessions = trial with no long-term commitment.

Suitable for SEND or anxious learners?
Yes — our approach is inclusive, flexible, and experienced in supporting diverse needs.
